Tell the Story Through the Eyes of A Child

1.     Quote About Children Meaningful to me
“See a Child differently, see a different a child.”-Stuart Shanker

2. Did you know that I love you? by Christa Pierce

This story is written out of a desperate desire to love and be loved. The exciting thing about this book is that it makes the characters accessible; made them animals (Bird and Fox) so that anyone could project themselves into those characters.
“From her soft kisses and soothing hugs to her tasty tea and warming mug, Bird sweetly expresses her love to Fox, so he knows that no matter how big he gets or where he goes, her love is always with him.”
With seductively engaging drawings, debut author-illustrator Christa Pierce creates a comical story that has every reader feeling loved and valued.

 3. A story about a child that touched your heart
A story about a child that touched my heart is a story told by a volunteer at a hospital.
“A little girl needed a blood transfusion because she suffered from a severe disease. The only chance of recovery was to receive a blood transfusion from her five-year-old brother who previously had the disease but recovered miraculously. He had the needed antibodies to fight the disease. When the doctor told him what the problem was with his sister and asked him if he will be willing to give some of his blood to his sister. He paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and said: “Yes, I will do this to save her life. “
Lying down on the bed next to his sister, he looked at his sister and smiled. During the transfusion, his face slowly became pale, and his smile faded. With a trembling voice, he asked the doctor, “Will I start to die right now?” The little boy thought that he would have to give all his blood to save the life of his beloved sister.

Child’s drawing of his family

This drawing shows that my student’s motor skills and cognitive thinking have greatly enhanced.  It also shows my student’s charming story of a young child’s boundless imagination, using beautiful illustrations of his family.

  5. What keeps me going

My passion for early childhood is fuel by the desire to create an effective learning environment that would enhance the learning potential of young students. Every early childhood educator should be passionate enough to create a learning environment that promotes or encourages growth.

  2. Hello Lucy, I love the story of the brother and sister, it really touched my heart as well. It shows that he loved her so much, he was willing to die to save her. I hope the ending to that story is that they were able to heal and grow with one another. I also like the drawing from your students, they have great imaginations. You can tell who the parents are versus the children and that shows real craftsmanship. I look forward to seeing how your blog grows.

  3. Your quote about seeing a child differently and you see a different child, really hit a cord for me. I never really thought about it but it is true. If a child does have someone who believes in them and encourages them to try; they change for the good.
