Quotes from Great Early Childhood Contributors

The quotes from Piaget and President Johnson I talked about in my discussion:  “The principle goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept, everything they are offered.” ― Jean Piaget “Children should be able to do their own experimenting and their own research. Teachers, of course, can guide them by providing appropriate materials, but the essential thing is that in order for a child to understand something, he must construct it himself, he must re-invent it. Every time we teach a child something, we keep him from inventing it himself. People who nurtured me in my childhood: My mom:- I lost my dad when I was six years old. My mom was the pillar of the house, making sure all that was needed (morally and financially) to keep a family going was provided. She was sure a strong woman; stood strong for the family. She provided a nurturing environment for us. We were four girls and a boy. I was the youngest and was well cared for. She left no stone unturned to create a safe and secure environment. He took up all my financial responsibilities; all through to my high school, he was very supportive. I stayed with him during my high school years until I graduated. He is now deceased. Forever miss him. My sister:- My "big" sister was what I would call my second mom. She was the second born in the family. She played the role of mother to the teeth
